Adrian Watson (Founder)
Adrian has a strong background in natural resources management with fourteen years of youth development experience. He has spent almost a decade leading non-profit non-governmental organization at the local grassroots, national, regional and international levels. Some of his experiences include him being National Coordinator for the Caribbean Youth Environment Network Jamaica, the Latin America and the Caribbean Representative on the Steering Committee of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and Projects, Events and Competition for the Commonwealth Youth Climate Network (CYCN). He was invited to be a part of the Youth Climate Change Conference Secretariat in 2014, 2015 and 2017 staging; in his capacity as a climate change expert and youth leader to help plan this event by ACDI VOCA and its JaREEACH Projects phase 1 and 2. He has also played a role as a steering committee member and team lead for the GYBN delegation to the UN 13th Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity covering topics such as pollination, synthetic biology, and wildlife management especially regards to livelihood preservation. Adrian not only holds a Bachelor of Science degree Geographer and Zoologist, but also possesses expertise in social entrepreneurship, vulnerability capacity assessment, project management and research. Through his vast amount of experience voluntary/philanthropic efforts, technical expertise and track record of steering and mobilize resources to those who needs it he has garnered accolades such as runner up Prime Minister’s Youth Award 2017, Exceptional Youth Leader 2015 and Outstanding Climate Change Initiative 2016. |
